Helen A. Jenkins DNP-EL, MSN, RN, CDCES

Dr. Jenkins has over 20 years of experience as a nurse both in the pediatric and adult populations. She has been a member of the Certified Diabetes Education Specialist since 2009 where she was credentialled by the Certification board for Diabetes Education and brings a unique and caring approach when educating and assisting those with the management of their diabetes. She is also a member of the American Diabetes Association where she served on the Education Recognition Program Committee. Dr. Jenkins has also maintained the accreditation status of the diabetes program at Adventist Healthcare Fort Washington Medical Center MD during her tenure. She also started the first and only for Men Only Diabetes Support group. Dr. Jenkins' moto is to reach and teach as many people as possible about diabetes by empowering them through the provision of the tools needed to manage their diabetes.

Mission
The mission is to serve the newly diagnosed, more experienced, any caregivers, individuals diagnosed with pre diabetes, and anyone who has a desire to learn about the disease. the goal is to provide support to all who seek better management through ongoing diabetes educations

the vision is to provide a safe space where individuals are empowered to show transparency and vulnerability as they gain tools, knowledge and resources in the management of diabetes.
