Since 2009, Dr. Jenkins has maintained the designation of Certified Diabetes Education Specialist. This credential, granted by the Certification Board for Diabetes Education, underscores her advanced expertise in diabetes management and education.
Holistic Approach to Diabetes Management
Dr. Jenkins is widely recognized for her compassionate and holistic approach to diabetes care. She emphasizes personalized education and support, ensuring that individuals receive tailored guidance and the resources necessary to effectively manage their condition. During her tenure at Adventist HealthCare Fort Washington Medical Center she wrote an insulin Policy regarding the implementation of Basal/Bolus regimen and started the first and only "Men's Only" Diabetes Support group in Fort Washington MD.

Dr. Jenkins’s professional involvement includes active membership in the American Diabetes Association. She has contributed to the Education Recognition Program Committee, demonstrating her commitment to advancing diabetes education and promoting best practices within the professional community.

• Serves as President of Ralph Ministry a group of nurses who volunteer time to provide medical assistance to the congregation during the Sunday services.
